Credit Union Times features our Del One virtualization project

I had the opportunity to chat with Marc Rapport, Technology Correspondent for Credit Union Times, along with Amanda Lennon who is the Information Systems Manager for Del One Federal Credit Union. We recently completed a virtualization project for Del One and were very happy to share the story.

It doesn’t get into the technical aspects of the project but gives an overview of the work we did, which included integrating EqualLogic SANs, devising proper architecture for the environment, converting physical systems to virtual systems, and enhancing Disaster Recovery through the use of replication and VMware’s Site Recovery Manager.

Amanda Lennon also provides her perspective on the benefits of virtualization for a financial institution.

“We are very happy that we did it the right way, which was to completely virtualize our data center and backup site, except for our HP9000, and to utilize the expertise of an outside company that had the experience and knowledge to set it up the right way the first time.”
